After taking Leeds by storm with its smash-hit launch, Headingley’s favourite frozen yoghurt café is getting into the Halloween spirit with spooky celebrations, giveaways, DJs and a deliciously dark limited edition flavour.

Forget the tricks, it’s all about the treats this Halloween, as Leeds’ viral frozen yoghurt sensation KefiYo is transforming its Headingley café into a spooky season hotspot, complete with DJs, giveaways, Halloween activities and a deliciously dark new flavour.

The colourful Mediterranean-inspired café, which has taken Leeds by storm since opening this summer, is giving locals a new destination for their Halloween celebrations, with a packed programme of spooky fun kicking off on Wednesday 28th October.

Visitors can expect Halloween themed decorations, special in-store activities and giveaways from Wednesday, transforming the popular Ash Road café into a must-visit spot for Leeds food lovers looking to get into the spooky spirit.

And as Halloween weekend approaches, KefiYo will be turning up the party atmosphere, with DJs in-store on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October, making it the perfect place to grab a treat with friends and celebrate the spookiest weekend of the year.

Of course, no KefiYo celebration would be complete without something delicious on the menu.

This Halloween, the café is introducing a limited-edition blackcurrant frozen yoghurt, bringing a suitably spooky, darker-coloured twist to its famously colourful bowls.

The new flavour will join KefiYo’s existing line-up of passion fruit, Biscoff, apple pie, strawberry, chocolate orange and natural, alongside vegan coconut, giving customers even more combinations to discover and the chance to create their own Halloween-inspired treats with the café’s huge selection of toppings.

The celebrations follow an incredible few months for the independent Leeds business, which has rapidly established itself as one of the city’s most exciting new food destinations.

Since opening its doors this summer, KefiYo has become a smash-hit local favourite, attracting students, families and food lovers with its colourful interiors, delicious flavours and fully customisable frozen yoghurt bowls.

Social media has been filled with colourful KefiYo creations as customers share their favourite flavour and topping combinations, while the café’s launch has also caught the attention of national media, with KefiYo featured on BBC News, Business Insider and more.

Every bowl can be customised with unlimited standard toppings at no extra charge, with selected premium toppings and superfoods also available, meaning customers can create their own perfect treat.

Now, with its Halloween celebrations, KefiYo is continuing to bring fresh flavours and new experiences to its growing community, proving that frozen yoghurt isn’t just for summer.

Gagan Chera, Co-Founder of KefiYo, said:

“We’ve had such an incredible response from the Leeds community since opening, and we’re always looking for new ways to make KefiYo even more fun for our customers.

“Halloween is the perfect excuse to get creative, and we’re so excited to introduce some amazing new flavours with a spooky twist. We wanted to create something a little different that people can have fun trying, whether they’re coming in with friends or building their ultimate Halloween treat.

“We can’t wait to see everyone getting into the Halloween spirit and trying the new flavours!”

The name KefiYo is inspired by the Greek word “kefi,” meaning joy, passion and zest for life, a spirit reflected in the brand’s colourful interiors, playful flavours and feel-good approach to food.

Beyond its frozen yoghurt offering, KefiYo is building a growing community around food, fitness and wellbeing, with Pilates pop-ups, run clubs and a wider menu including açaí bowls, smoothies, speciality coffees and matcha.

With spooky surprises, giveaways, DJs and a frightfully delicious new flavour, KefiYo is making sure there’s no shortage of treats in Leeds this Halloween.

KefiYo’s Halloween celebrations begin Wednesday 28th October, with DJs in-store on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October, at 17 Ash Road, Headingley, Leeds LS6 3JJ.
